Puppy Training
Our house manners training helps puppies develop the skills needed to thrive in your home. While many owners are eager to jump straight into basic obedience, we believe that building a strong foundation of everyday manners is just as important (if not more so) during those early stages. Teaching a puppy how to settle/ turn off, accept handling, control their mouth, respect boundaries, and make appropriate choices around the home creates a dog that is easier and more enjoyable to live with. We address potty and crate training, mouthing and biting, chewing, jumping, barking, counter surfing, handling, calm behavior, and appropriate greetings to help your puppy grow into a well-mannered family companion. Behavioral Modification
Our behavioral modification training focuses on changing unwanted behaviors by understanding and addressing the root cause behind them. Rather than simply correcting the behavior, we work to understand why it occurs and develop a personalized approach to create lasting, positive change.
For example, a dog that barks excessively when visitors arrive may be experiencing excitement, anxiety, fear, or territorial behavior. Instead of simply correcting the barking, we identify what is driving the behavior and teach the dog a more appropriate response, helping create calmer and more confident interactions.
Obedience Training
Our Basic Obedience program focuses on creating a strong foundation of communication, focus, and reliability between you and your dog. We begin by teaching essential commands such as Sit, Down, Come, Place, Stay, and Heel, while helping your dog understand what is expected of them and how to respond consistently.
Once your dog has a solid understanding of these behaviors, we begin increasing the level of difficulty by introducing the three D’s: Distance, Duration, and Distraction. This teaches your dog to maintain their training even when you move farther away, ask them to hold a behavior for longer periods of time, or introduce new and distracting environments. The goal is to build obedience that isn’t limited to the training room, but carries over into everyday life.
Reactivity Training
Every dog is unique, and sometimes they come with quirks, habits, or challenges that don’t fit neatly into a standard training program. If your dog has a particular behavior you’d like to address, we’re happy to work with you to understand the situation and develop a personalized game plan. Whether it’s a small nuisance or a more unusual challenge, we’ll work together to find an effective approach that fits you and your dog.
