About Us
At Beyond the Stars Dog Training, we believe most “bad dogs” are simply dogs who need to be better understood.
Founded in Colorado Springs, we help dogs and their people build clearer communication, better behavior, and a happier life together. Our training is personalized to the individual dog, because no two dogs, families, or challenges are exactly alike.
Whether you’re dealing with reactivity, anxiety, leash pulling, impulse control, puppy chaos, or simply wondering, “Why does my dog keep doing that?” our goal is to help you understand the behavior, give you practical tools that work in real life, and make life with your dog feel easier.
Because training shouldn’t just create a dog who listens. It should help you enjoy your dog more.

I am so grateful for Beyond the Stars Dog Training and Brandy. My dog has made huge strides in obedience and behavior since we started working with them. Their approach is effective, yet gentle, and their love for dogs is evident in their work.
-Quinton Freel
Our pup Tyson loved working with Brandy. Tyson is a pit bull terrier and has lots of energy. With positive redirection and guidance provided during his training sessions it was an enjoyable experience. We can’t thank Brandy enough for the great training and tips she provided.

Brandy takes the time to learn about your needs for you and your pup. My dogs came from an abusive home and did not trust easily. Brandy took the time to earn their trust and helped their anxiety. Not only does she offer training but she also makes me feel good about going on vacation. My pups in good hands but so is my home. (The cats don’t mind her either) I have seen her with my dogs, her dogs, and other dogs she’s trained and she treats them all the same! She’s gentle with them. I just love her so much!!!! 10/10

Brandy is an excellent dog trainer. She has worked with my Winston several times and every time he makes leaps in progress. He has been our toughest PWD to get trained but with Brandy’s help he is doing so very well at just a year and a half old. He no longer counter surfs or tries to take food of our plates and he doesn’t bark at us wanting to go continuously while we are trying to relax in the evenings. She taught him where his place is when we need for him to stay put while we are eating or busy with something. He goes to his dog bed or lies down nicely now. We and Winston adore Brandy!! Best dog trainer we’ve ever worked with!

Before I found beyond the stars I tried training my two little dogs as best as possible on my own, but didn’t really know what I was doing. Brandy helped me understand some fundamentals about how training works and how dogs think that went beyond just giving commands. Understanding why my dogs were responding to me the way they were in different circumstances made a huge difference for us. I didn’t realize I was confusing them in some ways, and also realized I had unintentionally taught them an important command that I never consistently reinforced, but now that I’m using it with intention they’re starting to get it! I highly recommend working with beyond the stars.

I have worked with beyond the stars for several years and seen how kind and compassionate they are to the dogs they work with as well as their human clients. I love how the trainers go into detail to explain behaviors and how to guide the dogs towards better behaviors and help people understand how to train their dogs. You can tell how much they all care about the people and dogs they work with. 10/10
