These Terms of Service (“Terms”) establish the policies, responsibilities, expectations, and conditions that apply to services and products provided by Beyond the Stars Dog Training (“Beyond the Stars,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By booking a service, purchasing a product, enrolling in a program or course, accessing digital materials, or otherwise participating in services provided by Beyond the Stars Dog Training, the client (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

2. Services and Scheduling
Services are scheduled based on availability and may be offered at a specific time or within a designated time window.
Scheduled times are intended as target times and may occasionally vary because of traffic, weather, previous appointments, emergencies, unexpected dog-related circumstances, or other situations outside of our reasonable control.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that their dog is available at the scheduled time and that Beyond the Stars has the necessary access to the dog and any agreed-upon location.

3. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to provide accurate and complete information regarding themselves, their dog, and the environment in which services will take place.
Clients are responsible for informing Beyond the Stars of any information that could reasonably affect the safety or success of services, including:

Any other behavior or circumstance that could create a safety concern
Clients are also responsible for following reasonable safety instructions provided by Beyond the Stars and for participating in and practicing recommended training exercises when applicable.

4. Training Results and Expectations
Dog training is a collaborative process. Beyond the Stars Dog Training will provide professional guidance, education, techniques, and recommendations intended to help the Client and dog make progress.
However, specific training results cannot be guaranteed.
A dog’s progress may be affected by many factors, including age, breed, genetics, temperament, learning history, environment, health, previous experiences, consistency, frequency of practice, and the Client’s participation.
Beyond the Stars does not guarantee that a dog will develop a particular behavior, eliminate a particular behavior, or reach a specific training outcome within a particular period of time.

5. Client Participation
The Client understands that successful training requires participation outside of scheduled sessions.
Beyond the Stars may provide exercises, management strategies, homework, training recommendations, or environmental changes for the Client to implement between sessions.
Failure to consistently practice or follow recommendations may affect training progress.

6. Dog Behavior and Safety
The Client must honestly disclose known behavioral concerns before services begin.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Biting or attempted biting
Aggression toward people
Aggression toward dogs or other animals
Lunging
Severe reactivity
Resource guarding
Predatory behavior
Escape behavior
Door-dashing
Fence-jumping
Handling sensitivity
Severe fear or anxiety
Previous incidents involving injury
Any behavior that may reasonably create a safety risk
Failure to disclose known behavioral concerns may result in the immediate modification, suspension, or termination of services.

7. Safe Equipment
Clients are responsible for providing appropriate, properly fitted, and functional equipment when required for a service.
This may include collars, harnesses, leashes, crates, gates, or other equipment appropriate for the dog’s individual needs.
Beyond the Stars may decline to use equipment that appears damaged, improperly fitted, unsafe, or inappropriate for the dog.

8. Leash and Off-Leash Policy
Dogs participating in dog-walking services will remain appropriately secured unless a specific off-leash activity has been expressly agreed upon in advance.
Beyond the Stars will not intentionally allow a dog to roam off leash in an unsecured or unauthorized area.
Clients must disclose any known history of escaping, slipping out of equipment, door-dashing, fence-jumping, or other escape behavior.

9. Dog-to-Dog and Animal Interactions
Beyond the Stars will use reasonable care to manage interactions with unfamiliar dogs and other animals.
Dogs will not intentionally be introduced to unfamiliar dogs unless such interaction is specifically agreed upon and considered appropriate.
Beyond the Stars may increase distance, change the route, end an interaction, or otherwise modify the service when necessary to maintain safety.

10. Health and Medical Disclosure
The Client must disclose any known health or medical condition that could affect the dog’s ability to safely participate in services.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Illness
Injury
Pain
Mobility limitations
Recent surgery
Chronic medical conditions
Medications

Exercise restrictions
Contagious illness

Beyond the Stars may modify, postpone, or decline a service when a dog’s health or physical condition makes participation unsafe or inappropriate.

11. Vaccinations and Preventative Care
Clients are responsible for maintaining vaccinations and preventative care appropriate for their dog and for complying with any vaccination requirements communicated by Beyond the Stars for a particular service.
Clients must notify Beyond the Stars of suspected or confirmed contagious illness, parasites, or other conditions that could reasonably affect other dogs, people, or service providers.

12. Dog Walking — Distance, Duration, and Wellbeing
Dog walks are intended to provide dogs with safe, appropriate exercise, enrichment, exploration, and positive experiences.
Any requested walking distance, including a one-mile walk, is an approximate goal and is not a guaranteed distance.
A dog may not always complete exactly one mile during a scheduled walk. Beyond the Stars Dog Training prioritizes the dog’s health, safety, comfort, and overall wellbeing over completing a specific mileage goal.
For example, a walk may be shortened or modified if a dog:
Walks at a slower pace
Becomes tired or fatigued
Needs additional time to sniff or explore
Shows signs of stress or discomfort
Is affected by heat, cold, humidity, or other weather conditions
Encounters unsafe environmental conditions
Has physical limitations
Is experiencing pain or illness
Becomes overwhelmed or overstimulated
Encounters another animal or situation that creates a safety concern
Beyond the Stars may change the route, walking pace, distance, duration, or type of activity based on the dog’s individual needs during the visit.
The Client understands that completing a specific distance is secondary to maintaining the dog’s wellbeing.
If appropriate, outdoor walking may be replaced or supplemented with enrichment, indoor play, training games, mental stimulation, or other appropriate activities.

13. Weather and Environmental Conditions
Services may be modified, shortened, postponed, rescheduled, or otherwise changed due to unsafe weather conditions or environmental conditions.
Beyond the Stars may consider factors such as temperature, humidity, precipitation, extreme heat or cold, ice, snow, thunderstorms, air quality, pavement conditions, and other environmental hazards.
The safety and wellbeing of the dog and the people involved in providing the service will take priority over completing a scheduled activity exactly as originally planned.

14. Safety-Based Modification or Termination of a Visit
Beyond the Stars reserves the right to pause, modify, shorten, postpone, or end a service when continuing the service may create an unreasonable safety concern.
This may include situations involving:
Aggressive or dangerous behavior
Severe distress
Unsafe equipment
Illness or injury
Unsafe weather
Dangerous environmental conditions
Uncontrolled animal interactions
Escape risk
Unsafe property conditions
Failure to follow safety instructions
Previously undisclosed behavior or medical concerns
The safety of the dog, Client, trainer, walker, other people, and other animals will take priority.

Cancellations or requests to reschedule must be made at least 12 hours before the scheduled meeting.
A cancellation made less than 12 hours before the scheduled meeting is considered a late cancellation.
Late Cancellation Fee
For a late cancellation, the 50% nonrefundable pre-meeting payment will be retained as the cancellation fee.
No-Show Policy
If the Client does not attend, is unavailable, or otherwise fails to appear for a scheduled meeting without providing the required notice, the appointment will be considered a no-show.
For a no-show, the 50% nonrefundable pre-meeting payment will be retained.
If a Client needs to reschedule with at least 12 hours’ notice, Beyond the Stars may reschedule the appointment based on availability.
Beyond the Stars may use reasonable discretion in exceptional circumstances, but exceptions are not guaranteed.
